Wenjun’s story begins long before his current role in Tieto Tech Consulting, encompassing over a decade of experience in telecom and software architecture. In 2018, while working on a landmark 5G project with a team of more than a hundred engineers, Wenjun found himself in a high-stakes situation. “The pressure to deliver was immense,” he recalls. “The task in front of us was extremely challenging. But we never gave up. Through sheer determination and cooperation, we overcame one obstacle after another.” The pressure to deliver top-notch results forced the team to push their limits and find innovative solutions. Wenjun remembers this project as a story of courage, determination, and the power of teamwork where unique skills and expertise created something greater than just a sum of the parts.
But it was at Tieto Tech Consulting where he truly found a platform to stretch the limits of AI innovation, when Wenjun took the lead at Nanjing’s first AI project built on Large Language Models (LLMs).
“With no existing projects to draw inspiration from, it was like venturing into uncharted territory,” he says. “We had to design the architecture from scratch and find the right way to drive this project forward.” Wenjun turned this challenge into an opportunity to level up his skills and exercise his creativity. “I learned the value of thinking outside the box and being resourceful. This project has not only enhanced my technical skills but also honed my leadership and problem-solving abilities.”
Rasing a New Generation of Creators
That sense of community and teamwork has been essential in Wenjun’s career. As a true leader, he sees his role far beyond solely addressing technical challenges, but aims to guide, encourage, and share his expertise with the team.
On a particularly demanding project for a Chinese smart home startup, Wenjun drew great inspiration from building and leading a team of new members. “Seeing the team grow and adapt over time, learning on the job, and making significant contributions to the project has been one of the most rewarding experiences,” he recalls.
Now, as the global tech landscape continues to accelerate, Wenjun has a clear vision for the future of AI. At Tieto Tech Consulting, he and his team are determined to be on the front lines of technology – developing AI-powered solutions, training colleagues across functions, and collaborating closely with clients to anticipate future demands. “, I see myself and my team as trendsetters and catalysts for change,” Wenjun explains.
