When joining Tieto Banktech as a DevOps Engineer
Required Technical Skills
DevOps Engineer to join our Payments and Cash Management DevOps team. You will work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to build, automate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power critical payment services.
3–5 years of hands‑on experience with:
AWS Cloud Services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EKS etc.)
CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar
Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (preferred)
Containerization & Orchestration – Docker & Kubernetes (EKS)
Monitoring - Splunk Appdynamics, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Prometheus, ELK stack
Understanding of DevOps best practices: automated deployments, GitOps, observability, security-first approach
Knowledge of modern deployment strategies – Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling updates
Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash
Process & Delivery Skills
Experience in Agile development environments (Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, LucidChart)
Familiarity with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide on-call support in production, staging and CI/CD environments
Non-Technical Skills
Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
Ability to document processes, architectures, and troubleshooting steps
Nice-to-Have Skills
Primary Responsibilities
Implement and maintain AWS infrastructure for payment applications
Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins Pipeline
Automate operational processes using Python/Bash and Terraform
Support day-to-day Kubernetes operations (EKS deployments, scaling, troubleshooting)
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
Manage monitoring, logging, and alerting critical payment systems
Contribute to cloud security, cost optimization, and infrastructure hardening
Support production releases, resolve incidents, and enhance system resilience
On-call support on rotation basis and Occasional Weekend support
