From Curiosity to Career Choices
Her first spark came during her master’s studies in the United States, when South America was going through a start-up boom. Drawn to the energy of technology projects, she returned to Paraguay with a new vision for her future. With a background in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Project Management from Northwestern University—supported by a Fulbright BECAL scholarship—she was ready to take on complex challenges.
Her early career ranged from ISO 9001 consulting to managing government initiatives in Paraguay’s Presidential Delivery Unit. These roles taught her resilience, teamwork, and how to lead in high-pressure environments. When agile practices began reshaping South America’s tech industry, she seized the chance to transition into IT, combining her structured approach with the speed and innovation of technology projects.
Leading and Growing with Create
Today, as Portfolio Manager for Latam at Tietoevry Create, she is leading projects while also managing a team of project managers involved in customer deliveries across healthcare and education projects . This dual role allows her to stay close to clients while helping her team grow in skills and confidence. “The best part is collaborating in the growth of others and being closer to the dynamics of the technology market,” she says.
Her experience also reflects Create’s culture: leaders are not only managers but mentors, and employees are encouraged to learn, ask questions, and develop across different roles and markets. For her, the biggest lesson is simple: “There are no foolish questions, only fools who do not ask.”
Driving Inclusion and Inspiring Others
She is also passionate about inclusion in tech. While she acknowledges her own doubts were often the hardest barriers, she highlights how supportive colleagues, and equal opportunities helped her thrive. Now she encourages women to take initiative, find role models, and support each other—while men play their part as allies by promoting inclusive spaces and recognizing talent.
Her advice to young professionals considering technology is clear: “Be curious, take initiative, and remember that ‘not today’ doesn’t mean ‘not always.’ Tech is fun, exciting, and full of opportunities.”
Looking ahead, she wants to see the Latam team continue to expand, proving that careers at Tietoevry Create are more than just about projects—they’re about growth, collaboration, and shaping the future of technology together.
