Software Developer, Oracle EBS (m/f/d)

TERP, Treasury and Sourcing technology team in Tietoevry CIO organization is looking for a Software Developer to work with Oracle EBS which is the current ERP and core finance tool of Tietoevry.

We would very much like to welcome you to our team of finance service managers, process managers and developers who are responsible for the design, development, maintenance, support, documentation and guidelines related to our ERP.
 

With us your main role would be to

Provide systems development and technical support within the defined project; design and develop application logic for new systems, analyse and improve application logic for existing systems. Develop code, test, debug, document, replace and maintain systems. Analyse and maintain change requests, test and integrate system components. Ensure successful implementation of system enhancements.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Design and build high-complexity extensions, including analytical reports, customizations, and interfaces across various technologies
• Troubleshoot technical issues during system maintenance
• Collaborate with functional consultants and system analysts to analyze and translate business requirements
• Support testers during performance, stress, and automated testing phases
• Ensure smooth handover of systems to maintenance and operations tea
• Interpret and apply software requirement specifications, interface designs, coding standards, and UI guidelines
• Develop software solutions according to design, specifications, and coding standards
• Perform unit testing on developed modules and create unit test cases when necessary
• Conduct performance analysis and implement optimizations where needed
• Modify database structures in accordance with technical specifications
• Document code changes clearly in version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
• Provide regular updates on task progress to project and line managers
• Investigate and resolve reported issues, collaborating with team leads or analysts as needed; verify solutions and perform regression testing
• Review and provide feedback on specifications, suggesting improvements where applicable
• Assist in preparing change requests, including quotations and estimates, in collaboration with project managers or analysts
• Mentor and support junior team members through knowledge sharing, training, or workshops

Tech Stack & Skills We’re Looking For

You should have experience with or knowledge in:

• Java, Groovy, JavaScript
• SQL, PL/SQL
• CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Jira and DevOps methodologies
• Fluent written and spoken English
   

Other key qualification:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT or finance tech
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or related field . 
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Understanding of business processes, especially finance processes and use cases in defined area to efficiently contribute in support, maintenance and development work.
• Service-minded and problem-solving attitude  
• Analytical thinking and analyzing capabilities to work with business requirements and different other improvements  
• Capability of works independently and with initiative in accordance with quality system requirements
• Carrying out tasks within the time limits set in the plans
   

Considered an advantage:

• Oracle certificates and experience of other ERPs
• Fluent written and spoken Latvian
• Knowledge and/or experience of Oracle APEX
