Position: Sr UX/UI Designer (Remote)

Location: Asuncion, Paraguay

Alternate location: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Salary: Competitive

About the role 

This position will allow you to join a project for a leading client in the Heath Care Industry in the US. You will be joining a large UX team on the client side, supporting UX and UI design activities to support ongoing strategic enhancements to mobile and web platforms. Your work will follow the user-centered design principles to ensure a high-quality design and customized user experience. Experience working in a highly regulated industry with a vast structured Design System is a must. Knowledge and experience working with AI in regard to performing Design activities is also needed.  As a part of this product-focused role, you will work closely with members of the client team, while still receiving guidance and support from MentorMate. This designer will work full-time on a dedicated team that is focused on one product. 

About the team 

Our design team utilizes human-centered design tools and principles to create digital products that help clients reach their digital transformation milestones. Understanding and defining the right problems and then designing products and services to solve them is the main focus of our design practice. Using design thinking principles, the team applies their expertise to exciting projects in various business domains, like healthcare, agriculture, finance, manufacturing, education, retail, and more. 

Responsibilities 

  • Navigate analytical and intuitive design thinking to translate business needs and requirements into engaging customer-focused experiences. 
  • Champion intuitive, simple user experiences based on evidence for all products and services that the team delivers  
  • Manage and produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, user interface specifications, final design assets, and experiences 
  • Articulate the details of design patterns so they can be consistently implemented and scaled to future projects 
  • Advocate for user needs based on the desirability, with an understanding of what is viable for the business and feasible technically, in relation to the scope of the project 
  • Provide design solutions that are based in insightful foundational research using common Human-Centered Design best practices 
  • Ensure that design team members understand the requirements presented by business analysts and product owners 
  • Measure and analyze customer/feature usage and identify opportunities to innovate and improve customer experiences 
  • Serve as a hands-on leader for Design initiatives related to product enhancements 
  • Develop a deep working knowledge of MentorMate services, customers and use cases 
  • Build strong internal relationships with an international team of 25+ UX/UI designers, experienced engineers, project managers, marketing, and sales teams to produce optimal design and implementation processes 

Requirements 

  • 7+ years of experience working as a UX/UI designer within a digital product development environment 
  • Solid understanding of research techniques and UX best practices in Human Centered Design 
  • Strong knowledge and experience building Information architecture, User flow diagrams, Personas, Lo-Fi/Hi-Fi wireframes, and interactive prototypes 
  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellent analytical thinking and UX process 
  • Demonstrated awareness and a high level of interest in the latest trends in the field 
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Whimsical, Mural, MIRO, FigJam and other relevant design tools 
  • An informed point of view regarding user experience, technology, and business communication and the ability to present solutions 
  • Challenge ideas and validate solutions using data and insights from end-users and stakeholders 
  • A grasp on AI tools including feature in Figma, Chat GPT, and others 
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills 
  • Experience delegating and providing team direction 
  • Responsible and team-oriented person 
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills  
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent mix of experience and education  
  • Demonstrated Behavior Design experience 
  • Experience with usability testing platforms like UserTesting.com 
  • Strong user experience skill set including research, synthesis, design strategy, and the development of typical UX artifacts 
  • Demonstrated experience with the design of B2B and B2C web-based and mobile applications 
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment 
  • Knowledge of guidelines and documentation for native iOS and Android applications 
  • Experience designing for Enterprise users 
  • An in-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines and accessibility compliance 
  • Experience with usability testing and validation 
  • Experience in working with an international team and designing for Enterprise users
