We are looking for a Network Support Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Tech Consulting. Tieto Tech Consulting works as a true partner, solving clients’ toughest technology challenges and delivering reliable outcomes that drive measurable results. By combining deep telecom expertise with structured operational processes, we support customers running critical global network infrastructures.
In this role, you will work on a long-term assignment with Arelion, a leading global IP services provider, operating in an international telecom environment.
When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Network Support Engineer, you will
Monitor customer services across network platforms and act on both alarm-generated and customer-initiated incidents.
Perform troubleshooting of IP, transmission, and underlying infrastructure issues to ensure service availability.
Interact with third-party providers (hardware vendors, network providers, FLM teams) during troubleshooting activities.
Own and coordinate incident resolution efforts, performing in-depth analysis and joint troubleshooting with vendors or customers when required.
Coordinate and support planned maintenance activities.
Follow established operational procedures and suggest improvements to best practices.
Contribute to the organization’s knowledge database to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Who we are looking for
Solid operational experience with IP platforms such as Cisco, Arista, and Juniper.
Strong foundation in Mobile Data and Transmission technologies, including fiber and xWDM (e.g. Infinera, Ciena).
Proven troubleshooting skills in TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, QoS, and DWDM environments.
Experience working in an international telecom operations environment, such as NOC or Technical Support.
Demonstrated ability to take operational ownership, make timely decisions, and execute them effectively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform information into structured, fact-based knowledge.
Excellent teamwork skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
Fluent professional Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
As a person, you are a team player who takes action and responsibility for organizing your work and solving tasks. You communicate clearly, work well in structured operational environments, and strive to continuously learn and improve as technology evolves.

Experience supporting large-scale carrier or enterprise networks.
Familiarity with SLA-driven operational environments.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple technical and operational stakeholders.
