About the role
We’re looking for a Google Analytics & Data Integration Specialist to support one of our key clients in enhancing and expanding their analytics ecosystem. The client currently uses multiple Google Analytics properties and BigQuery to analyze performance across their new and legacy websites. This role will focus on optimizing that setup today and laying the foundation for a broader, cross-platform analytics strategy that connects web, mobile, and offline experiences.
Responsibilities
- Audit & Optimization: Review existing Google Analytics (Universal and GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and BigQuery implementations to identify gaps, misconfigurations, or missing events
- Reporting & Insights: Enhance dashboards and reporting frameworks to deliver clearer, actionable insights into site performance and user behaviour
- Performance Analysis: Conduct funnel and event analyses to identify underperforming areas
- Tracking Improvements: Strengthen event tracking, data layers, and multi-session tracking (e.g., from search to checkout) for more accurate attribution and customer journey analysis
- Collaboration: Work closely with the client’s reporting team and external vendors to implement and validate tracking improvements
Looking ahead, this role will also contribute to expanding analytics beyond the website to include
- Mobile and On-Site Experiences: Tracking interactions within mobile apps and physical environments (parks, stores, events), including QR code scans, kiosk interactions, and mobile redemptions
- Cross-Channel Measurement: Connecting data between partner or vendor apps (e.g., McDonald’s) and the client’s own digital properties to understand engagement, conversions, and campaign performance
- Unified Analytics Framework: Supporting the creation of an integrated analytics platform that provides a single view of the customer journey across online, mobile, and offline touchpoints
The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and strategically minded - someone who can deep-dive into GA and BigQuery configurations today while designing scalable solutions for tomorrow. They understand web and app analytics, cross-channel tracking, and the value of unified, privacy-conscious customer data.
