As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Software Development utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) with an eye for detail and a passion for optimal software systems providing high return on investment.
Responsibilities
- Develop the next-generation products and applications leveraging cloud technologies in collaboration with the development and product teams to fulfill the agreed roadmap for products and services.
- Design, code, test and deliver software system components following Cloud DevOps processes and best engineering practices for optimal SDLC and distributed software systems complying with non-functional requirements.
- Work with the relevant stakeholders to establish and agree on requirements, develop technical design documents, do work breakdowns and estimates. Follow the agile practices with a rapid pace and dynamic startup-like environment.
- Consult product and business teams on bringing new ideas to achieve optimal solutions.
- Work and collaborate with other engineers to review, maintain and improve the software components and processes.
Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or information technology.
- Proficiency in Java. Hands-on experience with good coding and debugging skills to write quick code snippets. 5+ years of engineering experience implementing production-grade solutions.
- Experience in cloud-native development. Knowledge of cloud-native application design principles, microservices architecture, serverless computing, service integrations, API design and containerization using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with different middleware / integration technologies (message brokers, queues, etc…), relational and non-relational database technologies
- Experience with the frontend and UX development is a plus.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions for automating the build, test, and deployment of cloud applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and document processes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
- Developer and/or architecture-oriented certification on at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Telco industry and technologies is a plus.
