We are now looking for a RPG Developer for our Support team.
With us you will be responsible for
You will as a Support and Maintenance Engineer be a member of the Support team within the CSU Entra unit part of IRPC. The unit is responsible for delivering Support and maintenance to all of our customers.
You will collaborate within the Support team as well as with other colleagues in an international and evolving working environment. Your work will mainly be solving customer support issues focusing on troubleshooting and bug fixing. It will also include developing new features as well as product enhancements based on customer requirements. This will be done based on established practices with focusing on quality and maintainability.
Your key tasks will be to manage incoming support requests from our customers and ensure responding to them within agreed SLA. The work will require analytical skills as well as development skills within IBM RPG in order to be able to troubleshoot and develop required fixes.
We expect you to have
You should be a good communicator focusing on collaboration both with external clients and within the organization. Experience in RPG Software development is good to have and also a willingness to be a member of a cross functional team working with an agile approach. We appreciate your ability to see the whole picture. Curiosity and willingness to constantly learn new things and ability to experiment to gain new skills and knowledge is also of great importance.
In addition to this it is good to have:
- A university degree in Engineering IT area
- A least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge and experience in: IBM RPG ILE on Power i-platform
- Knowledge of financial systems with large transaction volumes
- Database knowledge in SQL
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft development platforms or Eclipse.
- Good experience of working with external customers
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
