Senior API Software developer - Tietoevry Education

The Role
As a Software Developer at Tietoevry Education, you will:
- Work in a skilled cross-functional team pursuing shared goals
- Take end-to-end responsibility for developing software products that improve schools across the Nordics
- Shape your team's ways of working, both internally and with surrounding teams
- Take ownership of our API landscape, drive technical decisions, and contribute to our overall architecture strategy
What We're Looking For
Essential qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant field with several years of software development experience
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and AI tools (CoPilot, ChatGPT)
- Proven experience with RESTful API design, development, and documentation
- Solid understanding of API security (OAuth, JWT, API keys)
- Proficiency in SQL Server and database design
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Fluency in Swedish and English (verbal and written)
We'd love if you also have experience with:
- Azure API Management (APIM) or similar platforms
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Message queuing systems (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ)
- API versioning strategies, governance, and best practices
- Event-driven architectures
- Specialized knowledge in test automation, software security, or other relevant areas
Your working style: You're a collaborative team player who takes responsibility for organizing your work and solving challenges. You can communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly when discussing external APIs with users.
