Tietoevry Create is inviting talented professionals to join our project as a Procurement Manager for our respected client in the telecommunications field.

About the role
The Senior Buyer Carrier & Colocation Procurement position sits in the Carrier & Collocation Procurement department and reports directly to the Head of EMEA Carrier & Collocation Procurement or Head of Carrier & Collocation Procurement.  Carrier & Collocation sits in the Service Delivery & Procurement department in Arelion, which reports directly into Arelion’s CEO. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To be involved in regular supplier performance review meetings as required 
  • Review existing supplier situation and achieve better buying position through consolidation and optimization. 
  • Keep up to date with market trends and supplier products and reach 
  • Support the supplier evaluation, selection and corresponding entry of new suppliers 
  • Define demand and portfolio with stakeholders and team manager 
  • Manage key supplier relationships including; 
  • Supplier performance results  
  • Due Diligence evaluation 
  • Lead vendor development in implementation of corrective actions plans 
  • Maintain the Supplier Score Cards matrix 
  • Negotiations with selected vendors, analyze potential price list improvement opportunities and re-negotiations to reduce cost,  
  • Analyze and define MSA gaps and needed improvements, lead Contract implementation and drive Contract Compliance alongside with legal and product department 
  • To support with the implementation and control of preferred supplier list 
  • Driving and managing all strategic RFIs, RFQs and RFPs 
  • Commercial negotiation of new and existing colocation premises  

 

Requirements

  • Extensive & fundamental expertise about the telecommunication sector / carrier market 

  • High level expertise in vendors/suppliers of capacity products & services  

  • High level of commercial awareness 

  • Excellent analytical skills 

  • High level of documentation and presentation skills 

  • Good IT knowledge 

  • Good team player 

  • Accuracy 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Flexible, open to changes
