Job Description
As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you are part of the Operations Department responsible for operating, supporting, and continuously improving customer networks. You ensure network stability, availability, security, and performance throughout the full operational lifecycle. You take ownership of day-to-day operations and advanced technical support, acting as a senior escalation point for complex incidents and changes. While the role is primarily operational, you are expected to understand design intent and standards, identify weaknesses, and contribute to continuous service and platform improvements. Close cooperation with Design, Delivery, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure long-term quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate, monitor, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center, and security networks
· Ensure network stability, availability, performance, and security in daily operations
· Act as senior / 3rd-line escalation for complex incidents and network issues
· Troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and VPN problems end-to-end
· Plan and implement network changes, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle activities
· Operate and support Check Point firewalls and related security services
· Use monitoring tools to proactively detect issues and support optimization
· Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
· Cooperate with Design & Delivery teams during handover and major changes
· Share knowledge and mentor junior operations engineers
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong experience in enterprise network operations
· Hands-on expertise with Cisco-based networks (routing, switching, WLAN)
· Solid operational knowledge of Check Point firewalls
· Good understanding of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, VPN technologies
· Experience operating LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center, and security environments
· Proven troubleshooting skills, including work under pressure during incidents
· Experience working in Tier-3 / senior support or NOC escalation roles
· Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes
