Network Engineer - Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain complex network and security solutions

• Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, and NGFW systems

• Manage patches and updates for network devices and solutions

• Monitor network performance and capacity, and implement improvements as needed

• Ensure network security by developing, implementing, and enforcing policies, standards, and guidelines

• Prepare and present reports on network operational status, including analysis and prioritization of issues

• Provide remote support to on-site engineers, end users, and customers

• Collaborate regularly with project management, engineering, and service desk teams to ensure smooth operations and project delivery

Requirements 

• 3+ years of experience in network administration

• 3+ years professional experience maintaining Cisco or Fortinet or Check Point Next-Gen Firewall environment

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze network issues and understand their impact on business operations

• Experience with network monitoring tools and a solid understanding of network protocols

• In-depth knowledge of L2/L3 protocols, including STP, LACP, L2 security, 802.1x, OSPF, BGP, and related deployment and troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack protocols, such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, and ICMP

• Hands-on experience with wireless network services, including deployment and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of VPN solutions and encryption technologies

• Basic familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and effective communication skills in English

A significant advantage would be

• Cisco CCNA certification; CCNP Enterprise certification is a strong plus

• Fortinet NSE 4 certification

• Check Point CCSA certification

• Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

• Hands-on experience with Meraki cloud deployments

• Automation skills, including Python or Bash scripting, API programming, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform
