Job Description

Do you want to make an impact on society?

Join the Tieto Tech Consulting team and grow in a dynamic environment — we offer the opportunity to work on diverse and meaningful projects that shape industries and improve everyday life.

Tieto Tech Consulting is at the forefront of this transformation, helping clients navigate the evolving digital ecosystem. We are now looking for an experienced Business Consultant to help our clients redesign and streamline their business processes enabled by Digital Identity.

What is Tech Consulting?

Tech Consulting is a digital design and software development unit where we help our clients grow by combining business design, technological expertise, and modern software development. We believe in collaboration, openness, and that the best solutions are created when diverse people and ideas come together.

Our customers include more than 130 organisations across various industries — such as public administration, finance, pensions, energy, logistics, and manufacturing. We develop everyday digital services that you likely use yourself — and that have a real impact on people’s daily lives and society.

What kind of work awaits you?

The way we interact and verify our identities is about to fundamentally change. The EU Digital Identity (EUDI) framework is creating a new EU-wide digital identity ecosystem, replacing fragmented and paper-based processes.

This ecosystem will allow every EU citizen and resident to use a personal digital identity wallet. The wallet enables secure identification and authentication across all Member States, as well as the ability to receive, store, and share digital credentials such as driving licences, diplomas, and permits.

This transition creates significant opportunities for organisations to reinvent their digital services. Across both the public and private sectors — from banking and healthcare to telecommunications and transport — organisations can engage with customers in a more secure and seamless way.

We believe you will succeed in this role if…

You have the ability to turn Digital Identity opportunities into clear process definitions, decision-ready recommendations, actionable roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes — in close collaboration with customers and internal experts.

With us, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading consulting workstreams in customer engagements: clarifying objectives, structuring problems, analysing options, and delivering clear recommendations.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder collaboration to align goals, resolve ambiguities, and drive decisions across multiple organisations.
  • Defining end-to-end target-state processes enabled by digital identity, including roles and responsibilities, process steps, information needs, dependencies, exceptions, and success metrics.
  • Working closely with delivery and technical experts to translate business requirements into clear, implementable specifications (without hands-on technical implementation).
  • Building phased roadmaps and defining concrete next steps that enable adoption and measurable progress in real-world environments.
  • Producing high-quality, client-ready materials (workshop outputs, decision proposals, process descriptions, roadmaps, and presentations).
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients on how to turn Digital Identity opportunities into practical process improvements and measurable business outcomes.
  • Helping ensure that proposed approaches align with relevant EU Digital Identity requirements (EUDI and the European Business Wallet), in collaboration with legal and technical experts.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in consulting or in a strongly consulting-oriented expert role (customer interface, facilitation, analysis, recommendations, and deliverables).
  • Experience leading business process consulting and process redesign initiatives in B2B contexts — from current-state mapping and target-state definition to piloting and adoption — in collaboration with delivery and technical experts.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups and partners to move initiatives forward in complex environments.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and with requirements related to security, privacy, or trusted data sharing.
  • Strong structuring and prioritisation skills: the ability to define scope, make trade-offs visible, and drive outcomes to completion.
  • A solid understanding of multi-stakeholder ecosystems and cross-organisational ways of working (roles, responsibilities, information flows, dependencies, and exceptions).
  • Fluent Finnish and English, both written and spoken, including the ability to produce clear, client-ready materials.
  • A relevant university degree (e.g., business or technology) or equivalent work experience.

As a person, you are…

  • Solution-oriented and able to move forward in uncertain and evolving situations.
  • Curious and flexible, with a passion for continuous learning.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of complex topics.
  • An excellent team player and communicator, able to build trust and alignment across a network of stakeholders.

What We Offer You

At Tieto Tech Consulting, we invest in people — and you will notice it in your daily work. We offer meaningful opportunities to work on the digitalisation and societally critical solutions, making a real impact.

You will be part of a Nordic, responsible, and trust-based work community where collaboration and professionalism go hand in hand. We provide clear career paths in expert, architect, or leadership roles, along with opportunities to develop your expertise alongside top professionals.

You will also have access to top-tier learning platforms (Udemy, Pluralsight) and certifications (e.g., Microsoft, IBM), as well as flexible hybrid working model, well-being benefits, and a genuinely people-centered work culture.
